I first saw Robby Vee  on the 24th November 2004, when as a support artist he was on tour with  Solid Gold ,  this was the first time I had heard of  Robby,  so didnt know what to expect of his performance.  If it was a younger version of his father then I was completely wrong, from the moment he came on stage, singing The Whole World's Rockin (from his album Bop)  I was speechless!! The talent and charisma of this rock guitarist and singer was overwhelming, even more impressive was the fact that he wrote the song himself. I later found out this was one of the many he had written, Robby had the audience on their feet that night just rocking to his great sound.

At the interval Robby was there to meet fans, chat and sign programes and CDs. He was gracious, charming and pleased to see each and every one of us.

Of course I have been privalaged to meet and spend some time with Robby and his band The V Rock-its. If I thought that  my first experience was impressive, then to spend four night watching him perform on stage, for three hours each night, was something dreams are made of. Performing not only his own songs, but also many of other great artists, the nights were just pure quality entertainment. Robby is someone who was born to entertain and not only does he love being up there on stage but he loves his audience too. Robby is "living the dream" and I am honoured to be able to share part of that dream with him.

Robby Vee was born, a few years ago now, Robert Brian Velline. He grew up, in his own words;" ..listening to Rockin' Roll at a young age, thanks to my fathers great record collection". Robby played the guitar from an early age and formed groups with his two older brothers. Eventually they became 'The Vees' with Robby playing lead guitar and vocals. Together they backed their father touring many countries across the world, including, on several occasions, the UK. This gave Robby the opportunity to meet and work with many of our great artists including Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber and Ronnie Wood, to name but a very few. He also had the opportunity to perform on some of our most famous stages such as the London Palladium, and in 2004 appeared on stage at the Royal Albert Hall with The Crickets,  becoming an honoury Cricket in the process!

In more recent years Robby has been performing solo and with his band The V Rock Its,  in just about every sort of venue across the States, Bars, Coffee Houses, Casino's, Fairs and Festivals, no where is too big for Robby Vee, or indeed too small!   His last visit to the UK was during the autumn of 2004 when with his album Bop, and that guitar,he entertained and charmed fans both old and new, across the country.

A creative and talented songwriter, we look forward to a new album from Robby soon and hopefully many more in the years to come.

We are hoping Robby will be back in the UK in the very near future,so watch this website.
